Job fair for BS English students at Riphah varsity

A job fair was organised by the Department of English Linguistics and Literature (DELL) at Riphah International University on Friday to provide opportunities to students in practical fields.

The fair aimed at connecting students with top employers and providing job opportunities to the BS English students in various fields. Faculty members and a large number of students were present at the fair.

The purpose of hosting a job fair at the English Department was multifaceted and aimed to benefit both students and employers in many ways. Speaking on the occasion, Head of English Department Dr Samina Nadeem said the job fair was to provide an environment to students for experiencing their future ventures in the market.

She said it had given an opportunity to young graduates to explore their skills in various fields as per their interest. “Face to face interaction with experts has given beneficial opportunity and guidance to our young graduates for their future paths,” she added.

Additionally, it has provided students with the opportunity to explore various career paths, allowing them to built network with professionals and recruiters from different industries. The event was also an opportunity for employers to engage directly and recruit  talented students for internships, entry-level positions and freelance opportunities.

Various multi-national and national organisations from the fields of education, IT, news agencies took part in the event, including Grammar School, Future World School, Paradigm Pakistan Real Estate, Geo TV, Sarah’s Wisdom Garden Islamabad and Junior Jinnah Trust.
